The preconstruction service integrates our project team early on in the design process. We provide ongoing technical support and feedback to eliminate unnecessary costs and delays. For this service, the owner hires PDG as construction manager early in the project. PDG will use its experience and knowledge of technical issues and market factors to assist the project team in realizing the owner's functional and financial goals. The business relationship may be agency or non-agency.

Agency: We act as an extension of the owner's staff to manage subcontracts and purchase orders which run directly to the owner. Using our job control systems, we track costs and changes, and schedule and manage your construction project so you don't have to.

Non-agency: In addition to the agency service described above, PDG will take on additional risk by executing contracts directly with material suppliers and specialty contractors. This approach uses a negotiated contract procedure with great flexibility to meet your risk assessment and business needs. Examples include cost plus with or without guaranteed maximum price, percentage or fixed fee, savings participation, lump sum.

General Contracting

As the general contractor on a project, PDG assumes direct responsibility for all construction phase activities. Contracts are secured through competitive bidding or through a selection process based on pre-determined qualifications.

Design/Build

Design/Build is one of the fastest growing delivery methods today and requires a contractor experienced in all phases of construction projects and scheduling. The client realizes the benefit of using PDG Construction Services as the single point of responsibility for all aspects of their project.

As design/build general contractor, PDG is involved from the beginning to the end of a construction project. We help with the selection of architect and construction engineer and then work with them as a design/build team to meet your specific needs.
