Persimmon Country Club
The 18-hole championship golf course was sculpted in the hills of Gresham, Oregon to create commanding views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams and Mt. St. Helens. The course is challenging, with separate ponds and a majority of the greens elevated. It was one of the first 100 golf courses in the U.S. to be certified as an Audubon Sanctuary System, due to extensive wet land mitigation in the design and extensive use of native plants to maintain a natural environment.
The Swim and Tennis Center is a unique barrel vault truss design by Carleton Hart Architects of Portland, Oregon, and includes a 25-yard lap pool, jacuzzi, children's wading pool, men's and women's locker rooms and snack bar. The open air pool and tennis courts are surrounded by walls that can serve as a foundation for creating a closed structure in the future.
The driving range has covered hitting stalls and extensive netting that have been rigged to sustain strong winds.
A maintenance building houses the equipment needed to maintain the golf course.
